The Kirklees Democracy Commission Working Group are overseeing the delivery of the Commission’s recommendations about strengthening our local democracy. The members are a cross-party group of Kirklees councillors. The group have an important role in overseeing the practical work we’re doing in response to our Growing a stronger local democracy report. They chose some priority recommendations in 2018.

The group are working with citizens, council officers and our partners to champion our work to grow a stronger local democracy, test things out from a councillor perspective and keep the political groups in Kirklees informed and engaged in our work.
